Returning to Holiness

During this crucial period of transition may we seek God’s direction for our church and embrace deep cleansing and prayer. The people on our search team are using Dr. Gregory Frizzell’s book, Seeking God to Seek a Pastor, as their guide.

Every member of our church body has a part in this pivotal process of renewing and strengthening God’s body, His church. To assist us in being involved, the transition team has made available another of Dr. Frizzell’s books, Returning to Holiness. This book is available in the East foyer. Take one per family, please.

Hosea 10:12 Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap unfailing love. Break up the unplowed ground for yourselves, for it is time to seek the LORD, until He comes and showers deliverance on you.

Student Ministry – March 2017 – by Sid Ware

As you know, our High School students are serving the church body on Sunday mornings, and doing a mighty fine job in the children’s area, in the audio/visual area, with the video announcements, as well as with the coffee bar.  Now we are trying something new and different over at the Loft. We are having the High School Growth Group immediately following the morning worship service, providing lunch and then moving into our study.

Looking to the future, we will be taking our students to watch the movie “The Case for Christ” on opening weekend.  In an effort to reduce the cost of van rentals, we plan to take the Mid-school students on Saturday, April 8th and the High School students on Sunday afternoon, April 9th.  I have challenged our students to pay the way for a friend to go with them.  Food and the movie will cost $30.00 for two people, making it $15.00 per person.  The deadline for signing up and paying is Wednesday, March 29th.
